The Purdue Club of New Jersey hosts a number of events each year in the areas of discovery (student recruitment), service (community), pride (promoting club), respect (scholarship), responsibility (club service) and tradition (social activities).
In 2009 the current club recognition program from the Purdue Alumni Association was put into place. Gold status was established as the standard for clubs wanting to earn recognition for their programming efforts. This status is awarded to clubs completing annual requirements plus 12 activities or services, with at least one in each of the six core values embraced by the alumni association. A Purdue Alumni flag is presented to clubs earning this status for the first time along with a Gold P indicating the year in which the recognition was earned. Gold P’s are awarded for subsequent years as recognition.
Addtionally, Gold clubs receive, from the association, scholarship and dues sharing funds. $600 in scholarship money is provided to clubs to award to students from their communities and dues sharing dollars ($2.50 per Purdue Alumni member in a clubs area) are provided to helps clubs with their programming.
In 2010, due to the service and support from the club leaders and its members in 2009, the Purdue Club of New Jersey received gold recognition status! Thank you for all your time and support!
